Recently one of my charges asked about cow's milk 🐄. Is it healthy? Can he drink it or not? Can he choose something from milk-based products rather than milk itself? 🤔
First a handful of knowledge 📚 and I think this will help dispel some conflicting myths about milk and dairy products. And I'll give you a hint about what matters to make the best decision for your body 💪. I will also add a few words regarding autism 🧩. I will divide the material into parts.
Cow's milk contains three times more protein than breast milk 🍼 so ideally the parameters do not match. On the other hand, plant milks 🌱, goat milk 🐐, camel milk 🐪 are also foreign milks. In newborns and infants, in whom the intestinal barrier is leaky, this can make a difference. On the other hand, this is a physiological condition - the barrier, as a rule, is supposed to be leaky in them, because all the components of breast milk easily enter the blood and support the immune system 💉. Since the intestinal barrier, intestinal structures develop around the 6th month in an infant - the baby should be fed with breast milk 👶. Personal situations regarding the health of the mother's body mean that this milk may not be there.
In older children, too, breast milk should be used as long as possible, because the esophageal sphincter is fully mature in a 5-7-year-old child. Also, sick people with a leaky gut have a problem with milk from a cow 🐄 - because the intestinal barrier does not function as it should. Then peptides, amino acids formed from milk proteins or other proteins get through into the blood, and this often leads to autoimmunity 🛑 - that is, when the immune system attacks the body's own cells 💔. So for these described groups of people, cow's milk is not indicated 🚫.
On the other hand, the causes of leaky gut are:
High carbohydrate diet 🍞.
Candida yeast overgrowth 🍄
All pro-inflammatory ingredients from our food 🍔
Vegetable oils (primary and secondary oxidation products, hence best to use fresh 🥗)
Fast food, or highly processed products 🍟
Xenobiotics (foreign substances that are not components of a living organism, which penetrate into the body with food, water or inhaled air, e.g. food additives 🍬)
Drugs 💊
